Where is Element Wood Design located?

We’re based in Maryland, but we ship our custom furniture nationwide.

Is all your furniture hand made?

Yes. Every piece of furniture that comes out of our shop is completely hand made and built custom per order. So customization is always encouraged.

What is your typical turnaround time?

Most pieces take 5-6 weeks from design approval to completion, depending on complexity and current workload. Larger or more detailed builds may take a bit longer — we’ll always give you a clear timeline upfront.

Do you ship?

Yes — we offer nationwide shipping. All pieces are professionally packaged to ensure they arrive safely. Local pickup or delivery may also be available depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

Nothing, its free! All costs related to shipping are already included in the pricing. Our prices are "all in". No hidden costs ever!

What materials do you use?

We primarily work with solid eastern white pine, paired with durable finishes and thoughtful details. Every piece is handcrafted with longevity in mind — no mass production here.

Can I choose colors, patterns, or finishes?

Absolutely. You’ll be able to customize wood stains, paint colors, finishes, hardware, and layout. We’ll provide guidance to help you create something that fits your space and aesthetic.

Are your pieces made by hand?

Yes — every Element Wood Design piece is designed and built by hand in our shop. Each project is crafted individually, not pulled from inventory.​

Is assembly required?

All our pieces are shipped fully assembled. The only thing you'll need to do is attach the legs to the cabinet or table. All hardware is provided and screw holes pre-drilled.

Do you accept returns?

Because each piece is custom-made, we generally don’t accept returns. That said, your satisfaction matters — we work closely with you during the design phase to ensure everything is exactly how you want it before we build.

Do you work with designers?

Yes — we love collaborating with interior designers, businesses, and brands on custom installations, furniture, and statement pieces.

How do I care for my furniture?

We recommend regular dusting with a soft cloth and avoiding harsh cleaners. For wood surfaces, a gentle furniture polish or all purpose cleaner.
